What We Offer

Radiosurgery Device from Ellman

We are pleased to be able to offer--for the first time in Canada--fully digital radiosurgery for the podiatric practice!

Radiosurgery is great new technology used for eradicating numerous soft tissue complaints, including  warts, neuromas, cysts, varicose veins, and a host of other conditions.

Another of the most common procedures performed with radiosurgery are ingrown toenails.

Unlike traditional surgical nail procedures involving chemicals or scalpels, ingrown nails treated with radiosurgery heal in about a week--with minimal, if any, discharge or pain.

Before:  Ingrown toenail involving both sides of the left great toenail.

Two weeks following radiosurgical procedure.

Warts and other skin lesions can now be removed and chauterized in just a few minutes.

Varicose veins disappear almost instantly.

Neuromas, cysts, and other deeper growths can be excised with virtually no bleeding.

Smooth skin incisions can be made with almost no damage to surrounding tissues.

Procedures are performed under local anesthetic.  And depending upon the length of the procedure, the patient can watch television, listen to music, or read.

We perform radiosurgery in the surgical suite of our facility, the Achilles Foot Health Centre.

And Dr. Schumacher is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and holder of Diplomate status with that organization.  He is also a Fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
